My name is Shawn Pathuis.   I am a member of Harvestime Fellowship Church in Holland.   I am very excited about what God is going to do in the lives of the people that are involved in this mission trip.   I know we are planning on going to Mississippi to minister and bring relief to the people of Pass Christian but I think God is going to do something even more amazing in the lives of those of us involved.   I just want to encourage everyone that every time we step out of our homes we are entering the mission field.   We should look upon every new day as a new opportunity to help someone else through either prayer or lending a helping hand.

Over the past couple of years there have been some major changes in my life.   These changes have taken my focus off of God and also off of helping others which God commands us to do.   I have served on other short term mission trips and my spirit was renewed by helping others.   I am hoping that while serving on this mission trip that my spirit is renewed also.

I also would like to add that another big attraction is getting to spend some quality time with the big "SEED PLANTER" Gary England :>)
