The Children of Promise sponsorship program, Safina, started in 1995. Safina is the word for 'ark of safety' Over 600 sponsored children live in 15 different clusters ythroughout Tanzania. The children all need and receive food, clothing, medicine, and educational opportunities. The church in each area provides Christian nurture through Sunday School and Bible classes for the sponsored children.
Aldersgate Secondary School opened its doors in 1998 with 74 students in Form I. The school provides an education for church pastors and workers, as well as for leaders in society. This has revolutionized opportunities for young people. A good quality education is allowing them to fulfill their hopes and dreams for their future.
The cost of sponsoring a child in Tanzania is $25 per month per child. For this amount, you are giving a child a bright future. Thank you!
