First Church of God in Allegan is involved in a worldwide missions project called Operation Kid-to-Kid.
Operation Kid-to-Kid is one of the world's largest global outreaches of children serving children. It teaches kids that with Jesus' help, they can impact their world.
Children attending the church's Avalanche Ranch Vacation Bible School August 5-9 will provide soft Prayer Bears and copies of "The Survivor's Bible" for orphans in Central and South America, through the International Bible Society.
More than one million children in North America have sent hundreds of thousands of hygiene items, Spanish Bible materials, blankets, and shoes and socks to children around the world.
Avalanche Ranch Vacation Bible School is August 5-9 at the church, 1313 Marshall St. in Allegan. Registration begins each day at 5:30 p.m. and classes and activities run from 6 to 9:00 p.m.
