Over the centuries Christian groups have often quoted portions of Matthew 25 when explaining the Biblical directive that has been placed upon the Church to assist those in need.
Free hot meals are provided at two area churches on a weekly basis:
God's Allegan Kitchen (hosted by Allegan First Church of God) began out of "Listening Prayer" exercise by a small group back in late 2005 and has served over 3,000 meals.
The Congregational Kitchen began seven months ago and has already served 1,900 meals. The Congregational Church received inspiration from the First Church of God which serves meals on Monday's and began their ministry on Thursday's.
