April 5, 2007   Page A1     Vernon "Butch" Christman received a surprise on Monday, April 2 when 10 members of Allegan First Church of God appeared at his front door at 102 Herkimer.   The volunteers showed up to do exterior work on his roof and kitchen.   Last year, the church participated in a couple of Hurricane Katrina mission trips to Mississippi but are now dedicated to finding local mission work.   Pictured are (from left) church member Roger Brenner and home-owner Christman.   (Photo by Nu Yang) Click here to report an error on this page.
