Gift cards raise funds for church
The Capital Gifts Campaign of Allegan First Church of God will award one lucky ticket holder a choice of $50 in free gift cards in a drawing on Easter Sunday.
The church has been busy raising the required $125,000 down payment on its planned $1,000,000 building project. To date, it has raised approximately $65,000 of which $1,100 has come from the sale of 1,300 gift cards.
The gift cards are sold at face value, which means the retailer is in effect making a small donation to the campaign every time a card is purchased.
Tickets to win the free gift cards will be provided for every gift card purchased. There are more than 70 retailers to choose from, and most are available immediately.
